Pegasus - Championship Winning Top Fuel Drag Bike
From 1968 to 1980 I actively competed throughout Europe in Top Fuel Motor Cycle Drag Racing with a succession of machines raced under the name of Pegasus - along with racing partners Derek Chinn & Mick Butler.
During this period we established ourselves as a front running team, winning the British Championship twice and being the first English riders to compete at the famed Indianapolis Raceway Park during the American championships. The last of the Pegasus machines – a twin engined, supercharged Norton now resides at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham after running 8.30s at 175 mph for the standing quarter mile in 1978.
I will soon be putting up a full website dedicated to the bike, and my life as a top fuel drag racer in the 70's.
